fear, i have come to understand, is among my most insidious enemies. it weaves itself into the fabric of my bein, distortin perception and denyin me the fullness of life. within this thing we do, step nine stands as both a moral and spiritual corrective: the act of makin amends is not optional but essential if i am to partake fully in the promises of freedom and renewal. Justice, in this context, is neither abstract principle nor mere restitution, it is the lived expression of accountability, humility, and repair. before undertakin amends, i entrust my intentions to both prayer and the discernment of my sponsor. his objectivity exposes blind spots where self-deception might otherwise prevail, and prayer aligns my will with that of my HP. only then can i proceed with reparations that are rightly ordered, not born of pride or avoidance. this process requires a sober knowledge of my defects of character and an unwaverin willingness to address them. in so doin, the promises cease to be aspirational words and instead become tangible realities: freedom from fear, restoration of dignity, and the capacity to live more fully. Justice, imperfect yet earnest, is enacted one amends at a time, and in that enactment, i move closer to the life my HP intends for me. 1 day @ a time…
