i have been granted the grace to sustain a genuine and healthy relationship with my children, a reality that once seemed impossible. they bore the unintended consequences of my self-centered behavior, and step nine has taught me that Justice requires more than apology; it demands the steady work of restoration. though i may not be able to give them everythin they may desire, i can, and do, offer all three the unconditional love they may need, whether they are acceptin of it or not. my amends to them are not merely spoken but lived through presence, consistency, and unconditional love. i recognize that what i could not repair through self-will, my HP continues to accomplish on my behalf. the promises of step nine are manifest in the trust we now share, a trust that testifies not to my own strength, but to the transformin mercy of recovery lived earnestly. 1 day @ a time...
